JAMES SENESE - NAPOLI CENTRALE

Booking

He has been a key player in the return of the neapolitan blues and jazz-rock scene. He debuted in the 60's with his group "The Showmen", and their hit "Un'ora sola ti vorrei" is still remembered by many today. His next group was "Napoli Centrale". The work with this historical band began in 1975. They recently redirected the traditional jazz-rock for songs written and sung in neapolitan dialect. His shining moment came when he performed with a group of all-stars who accompanied Pino Daniele in concert. He also partecipated in this neapolitan singersong writer's first three albums.
Other prestigious collaborations: Art Ensemble of Chicago, Gil Evans, Lester Bowie, Famoudu Don Moye. James Senese a heartfelt saxophonist, represented the true soul of the Naples that has always refused a desirable image.
After five solo albums, he began to perform once again with his original group.
His last solo album "Zitte! Sta arrivanno o Mammone" included works from such great names
as Lucio Dalla, Zulu of 99 Posse, Enzo Gragnaniello.
Coming soon:" Pass-partu` " a two CD set.
The new compositions that the band proposes is the next step in their perfect circular journey that seemingly has no beginning and no end.
Our advice to you: take a trip to Naples and spend a weekend in the central zone, right in the
heart of it.
